Overview
Carter is an associate in our litigation group and maintains a general civil litigation practice with a particular interest in corporate/commercial litigation, construction disputes, bankruptcy and insolvency, and agribusiness. Having previous work experience in these industries, Carter understands the unique perspectives of the clients he serves and employs his legal training to provide comprehensive strategies to meet client needs.
Carter returns to Miller Thomson after completing two summer terms with the firm in 2020 and 2021 and articling with the firm in 2022. Carter received his Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan in 2022 and was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 2023.
Carter participated in several volunteer activities and intramural sports teams during law school. He was also a member of the Indigenous Law Students Association.
Before attending law school, Carter obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance at the University of Saskatchewan.
In his spare time, Carter enjoys playing hockey and golf and spending time at the gym. Carter remains passionate about agriculture and enjoys spending time on the family farm.

- Volunteer, Canine Action Project - a Canadian registered charity that assists Indigenous communities by providing increased access to veterinary care for their dogs (2020 - present)
